ALL THE ABOVE ITEMS CAN BE CUSTOM MADE AT A PRO - RATA RATE. THIS MEANS IF THE LOUNGE IS THE SAME SIZE OVERALL IT WILL BE THE SAME PRICE.
Bailey and McBride offer many variations on each Sofa Style.
Most Sofa Models can be made in any size or as Corner Modular Sets and in any fabric, vinyl or leather.
The Vincent is displayed above as a 3 Seater Sofa plus a 2 Seater Sofa.
The basic elements of the design of a 2 Seater are timber legs 9cm high supporting a frame 66cm high, 140cm wide (to fit 2 x 70cm seat cushions) and 95cm deep (front to back).
The attached arm frames are 20cm wide and also 95cm deep. These combine to give a frame 180cm wide x 95 cm deep x 75cm high (including legs).
An area of 190 cm x 100 cm will accomodate this piece. (Allowing 4 cm for Upholstery and 6 cm for tolerance).
Similarly for a 3 Seater 260cm x 100cm is needed.
The 3 Seater of 20(Arm)+70+70+70(Cushions)+20(Arm) = 250cm
.
It can easily be as 25(Arm)+67+67+67(Cushions)+25(Arm) = 251cm. (SAME PRICE)
If it were made as 25+80+80+80+20 = 290cm (16% longer) you would probably pay at most 10% more.
If the cross - section of the lounge is changed by making the frame 10cm or more higher this requires more detailed re-design but the extra charge would be of the order of $4 per metre of length for every cm of additional height.
To Bailey and McBride it is clearly more desirable to make lounges of all shapes and sizes and prices - than to lose the business of customers of all shapes and sizes and budgets.
When we measure and quote in your home we design the most favourable size to fit the space available and your needs - we also ensure that the finished lounge can be safely installed.
We avoid difficulty or damage by assessing delivery access, door openings and the complete internal delivery path especially when delivery to an upper floor is required via stairs or lift. Better to be sure than sorry.
